This is the time of the year when your inbox fills up with emails of well-wishing, sales discounts, and how to write the best, fail-proof new year resolutions.
As 2023 comes to an end, we at RealityMine want to take a moment to review the last 12 months.
This year has been difficult for many of our clients and partners, with softer consumer demand and higher borrowing costs impacting start-ups right through to the big tech giants of Google, Meta and so on. Focus has changed from growth to efficiency and profitability and this trend will continue in 2024.
Streaming services have been struggling with customer retention and trying to figure out what content plays well with audiences, and how to entice viewers to subscribe and stay for longer periods, avoiding service-hopping.
In response, RealityMine launched a new product in September, RealityMine Connect, that aims at easing some of these pains and provide a granular view of audiences, across all platforms, on every device, allowing streamers to understand what their viewers really want to watch. RealityMine Connect now tracks content on over 12 streaming platforms.
RealityMine has been supporting customers, old and new, with our behavioural research, via RealityMeter technology and RealLife data. We have seen more than 2.2 million purchases, watched 35 streaming services, tracked more than 3 billion search terms, and metered over 46 billion app sessions!
All this hard work was reflected in winning the Best International Media Research Project at the Mediatel Media Awards alongside long time partners, AMPD for our paper ‘Uncovering detailed consumption habits of streaming services across APAC.’
We couldn’t have done this without our incredible team, which we have expanded this year by recruiting 15 new team members, and so we thank our RealityMiners both old and new.
Everyone at RealityMine wants to thank you for making this a rewarding year, and we look forward to continue our collaboration in 2024.
